A Painting With Meaning
A commissioned painting is an opportunity to turn a meaningful moment, horse, person, or story into an original work of art. Each commission is approached as a collaboration, beginning with your vision and developing through photography, composition, and the layered painting process.
Your vision comes first.
We'll begin with a consultation to talk through what you'd like to create—your subject, preferred size, composition, and the details that make the piece meaningful to you.
Your photographs become the foundation.
You'll provide reference photographs of your subject. Multiple images can be combined to create a composition specifically for your painting, allowing me to capture the details, character, and atmosphere you're looking for.
Built layer by layer.
Once the commission is secured, the painting takes shape through careful blending and layered glazing. Light, color, contrast, and detail are gradually developed to create the cinematic realism characteristic of my work.
Your story, preserved in paint.
When your painting is complete, you'll receive photographs of the finished work before delivery or pickup. Every original commission includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity and my lifetime warranty.

Investment: $3 / square inch
The final price is determined by the finished dimensions of the painting. If there is multiple paintings, I do offer a discount.

A 30% nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve your commission. The deposit covers initial materials and secures your place in the commission schedule. The remaining balance is due upon completion, prior to delivery or shipment.
Payment Plans are available! I know art is expensive and I want everyone to be able to have access to it, so I offer payment plans (up to 6 months) with no interest! When the artwork is paid in full, the painting will be received.
This price point does include framing and hanging wire installed as show in the photograph. We can discuss the type of frames you’d like and color stain. All my frames are custom made with the help of Art Direct Gallery and Framing and Jerry’s Artarama Framing Department, which are local to Austin. If you’d like to buy your own frames or install your own hanging equipment, please specify and you’ll receive a small price deduction.

Commissions can take up to 6 weeks, depending on the size of the work and my current commission schedule. Larger paintings may require additional time to allow for the layering, blending, and detail involved in creating the finished piece.
